Captain Guy Gowlett

We are sorry to report the passing of Guy Gowlett on Monday 5th September 2022 in hospital after a long illness. Guy served with ORD in north west Dhofar from 1974 - 1985 and will be remembered as one of the last old fashioned english eccentrics who served as desert intelligence officers. He was known to some as 'Abu Moqaas'. We shall probably not see his like again, more's the pity. He will be much missed by those who treasured his friendship.

His life was celebrated at a funeral service at the Church of All Saints in Little Canfield, Dunmow, Essex on Monday 10th October.
